AIRLINE COMPANIES HANDA NA SA 1 LINGGONG TRANSPORT STRIKE

Kaugnay sa ikinasang tigil-pasada ng public transportation groups sa Lunes, gumawa na nang hakbang ang airline companies upang pigilan ang posibleng epekto sa kanilang mga operasyon.

Ayon kay Philippine Airlines (PAL) spokesperson Ma. Cielo Villaluna, mahigpit na binabantayan ng flag carrier ang planong transport strike sa Metro Manila, kung saan maapektuhan ang mga commuters na sumasakay ng jeep, bus o ipang pampublikong sasakyan na papuntang airport terminals.

Dahil dito, pinayuhan ni Villaluna ang mga traveler na maglaan ng mas maraming oras para makarating sa airport.

“Please adjust your plans to allocate extra travel time to reach the Manila airport on time to catch your flights, in case the strike may cause heavier traffic jams or limit your public transport options,” saad niya.

“While we do not anticipate any significant disruptions to our flight operations. We have contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions and help keep flights operating on schedule. We will continue to monitor the situation and work closely with relevant authorities to ensure that there will be no impact on airline services,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.

Sinabi rin ni Cebu Pacific (CEB) spokesperson Carmina Romero na binabantayan din nila ang planong transport strike at pinayuhan ang mga pasahero na mag-check in online at maglaan ng mas maraming oras para makarating sa paliparan.

“Separately, we have put mitigating measures in place to minimize impact on our staff and crew. We will do our best to ensure that airline operations and flights will operate as scheduled,” dagdag niya.


Ganito rin ang payo ng AirAsia Philippines sa mga biyahero na maglaan ng apat hanggang limang oras sa biyahe upang matiyak na walang magiging problema sa biyahe.

“While all their flights will proceed as scheduled, all concerned personnel were already briefed on the potential impact of the land transport strike,” ayon kay AirAsia’s communications and public affairs head Steve Dailisan.

“To avoid any operational disruptions during this period, our people and culture team has arranged transportation services in areas affected by the strike. We have informed our guests through our various communication platforms as early as Friday for them to make necessary preparations during their trips. We continue to improve our On-Time-Performance to ensure our guests arrive at their destinations safely and on time,”  dagdag pa nito.


“Guests are likewise advised to download the airasia Super App for faster online check-in and maximize the self check-in kiosks at the airport,” pagpapatuloy niya.
