Dapat raw na maayos na makipag-ugnayan sa Quezon City Local Government ang mga ahensiya ng pamahalaan bago magpatupad ng infrastructure projects sa naturang siyudad upang maiwasan ang anumang pagsasayang ng pondo ng bayan at abala sa mga taga-Quezon City.
Inilabas ni Mayor Joy Belmonte ang panawagan matapos makatanggap ng mga reklamo tungkol sa hindi maayos na pakikipag-ugnayan ng ilang tanggapan ng pamahalaan sa city government tungkol sa kanilang infrastructure projects.
“Close coordination between the city government and national government agencies would avoid duplication of projects and promote efficient planning and delivery of services for QCitizens, not to mention judicious allocation of public funds,” ayon kay Belmonte.
“In addition, proper alignment would avoid or minimize any hassle the projects may bring to our QCitizens, especially on traffic flows that may hamper their travel to work, school, or any destination,” dagdag pa nito.
Ayon kay City Engineer Atty. Dale Perral, na malinaw na nakasaad sa Ordinance No. SP-2939, S-2020 na nag-oobliga sa lahat ng ahensiya ng gobyerno, opisina at korporasyon na makipag-uganayan muna sa QC government hinggil sa ipatutupad na infrastructure projects sa loob ng naturang lungsod.
“The Ordinance mandates all national government agencies to coordinate with the QC government through a written correspondence indicating pertinent details about the project to the Office of the City Mayor,” paliwanag ni Perral.
Nagbanta ang city government, na pagmultahin ang sinumang mabigo na makipag-ugnayan para sa kanilang infrastructure projects.
