IDINEKLARA ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang April 10, 2024 bilang regular holiday para sa paggunita sa Eid’l Fitr (Pista ng Ramadan).
Ito ang ibinahagi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin sa pamamagitan ng Proclamation 514.
“[In] order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Firs to the fore of national consciousness, and to allow the entire Filipino nation to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in peace and harmony in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr, it is necessary to declare Wednesday, 10 April 2024, a regular holiday throughout the country,” sabi ng proklamasyon.
“NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Wednesday, 10 April 2024, a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadan).”
Una nang inirekomenda ng National Commission on Muslim Filipinos ang ika-10 ng Abril bilang national holiday kaugnay ng okasyon.
Dahil sa deklarasyon ng regular holiday sa araw na ito, karapatan ng mga empleyadong makakuhang makakuha ng “double pay” kung sakaling papasok sa Eid’l Fitr. Makakukuha ng 100% ng kanilang sahod ang mga manggagawang hindi papasok sa sa naturang araw. Dagdag na 30% naman ng hour rate sa naturang araw ang makukuha ng mga empleyadong lalampas ng walong oras sa trabaho.
