BINUKSAN na ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) sa pamumuno ni Commissioner Olivia “Bong” Coo ang Women’s Indoor & Para Games Festival nitong weekend, bilang bahagi ng maagang preparasyon ng ahensya para sa 2024 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG).
Bitbit ang slogan na “123 Dash to the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games,” ang sampung araw na all-female sports event ay humakot ng mahigit 400 athletes at technical officials mula sa multiple sports sa opening ceremonies sa Philsports Complex sa Pasig City.
“This event was conducted to strengthen and unite our female athletes from every sport as early as today, in preparation for the AIMAG”, wika ni Comm. Coo sa kanyang opening message.
Tampok sa Women’s Indoor & Para Games Festival ang limang events kabilang ang athletics, bowling, chess, fencing at netball, dinagdag ang dalawang events para sa ating para athletes na para chess at para athletics.
Optimistiko ang lady commissioner na “ang national team

Ang kumpetisyon sa bowling ay nagsimula na sa Starmall Edsa Shaw Biyernes, Hunyo 14. Chess at para chess tournaments ay nagsimula na rin noong Sabado Hulyo 15, ang fencing, netball, athletics at para-athletics events ay nangyayari na mula Hulyo 16 to 21 sa Philsports Dining Hall, Fencing Hall, Multi-Purpose Arena at Track Oval,ayon sa pagkakasunod. Ang officiating dito sagames ay pangangasiwaan ng kanya-kanyang national sports association. Chef de Mission para sa AIMAG at Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation, Inc., (KPSF) President Richard Lim, Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) Exec. Director Atty. Kristine Yuzon-Chaves, National of Chess Federation of Philippines (NCFP) President Mr. Prospero Pichay, President Netball Federation, Inc. President Atty. Charlie Ho at Philippine Pole at Aerial Sports Association President Ms. Ciara Sotto ay present rin sa opening ceremonies. Samantala, chess rising talent NM Nika Juris Nikolas, na kamakailan ay kinilala na pinakabatang National Master sa Chess, ay ginawaran sa opening sa kanyang mga achievements.
