ISKO MORENO BANTA SA ‘DUTERTE DYNASTY’ SA 2022 – MAKABAYAN

SI Manila Mayor Isko Moreno ang nakikitang banta ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa “Duterte Dynasty” sa 2022, ayon sa Makabayan bloc.

Isinagawa ng Makabayan bloc ang naturang pahayag sa gitna ng animo’y word war sa pagitan nina Duterte at Moreno.

Kamakailan lang ay nagbanta si Duterte na hindi niya bibigyan ng kapangyarihan ang isang alkalde sa Metro Manila na mamahagi ng cash aid sa kanyang mga residente matapos itong madismaya sa hindi organisadong vaccination sa nasabing siyudad – na ayon sa maraming espekulasyon na ito ay ang Maynila.

“It is disgraceful that Pres. Duterte resorted to personal attacks against Mayor Isko not because the LGU chief has failed in his work, but because he is perceived by the president as a threat to his plan of having a Duterte Dynasty by 2022,” ayon sa Makabayan bloc sa isang pahayag.

Binubuo ang Makabayan bloc nina Bayan Muna Partylist Reps. Carlos Isagani Zarate, Eufemia Cullamat, at Ferdinand Gaite; Gabriela Women’s Party Rep. Arlene Brosas; ACT Teachers Partylist Rep. France Castro; at Kabataan Partylist Rep. Sarah Jane Elago.

Marami ang naniniwala na naging personal ang naging pag-atake ni Duterte kay Moreno sa ‘Talk to the People’ nitong Lunes.

Hindi man binanggit ni Duterte ang pangalan ni Moreno, ngunit sinabi ng Pangulo na dapat hindi magpaloko ang mga Pilipino sa isang alkalde  na kalat ang sexy picture.

Gayunpaman, sinabi ng Makabayan bloc na dapat ipaalala kay Duterte na mismong ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ang naggawad ng certificate of recognition sa City of Manila hinggil sa maayos na performance ng lungsod sa distribusyon ng ayuda mula sa national government.

“If there is a ‘mayor’ who is disorganized in its aid distribution and pandemic response that is no one else but ‘Mayor Duterte’ himself,” saad ng Makabayan bloc.

“Isn’t it because of his leadership that the government failed to release more than P10-billion cash aid under Bayanihan 1 and 2? Isn’t it because of his ineptitude that our country has the world’s longest militarized lockdown? Isn’t because of their inefficiency that the vaccination rollout remains sluggish?” dagdag pa nila.
