Armed Forces spokesman Arevalo nagretiro na

PORMAL nang binitawan ni Marine MGen. Edgard Arevalo ang kanyang posisyon sa Armed Forces of the Philippines nang umabot siya sa 65 taong gulang, ang mandatory age ng pagreretiro, sa Linggo.

Si Arevalo, na nagserbisyo sa militar sa loob ng 30 taon, ay commander ng AFP Education Training, and Doctrine Command (ETDC) at AFP spokesman.

Pinalitan siya ni BGen. Francisco Ariel Felicidario 3rd bilang commander ng ETDC.

“Throughout his military service, MGen Arevalo competently fulfilled various critical roles in the AFP,” saad ni Lt. Gen Erickson Gloria, acting AFP chief, na siyang nangasiwa sa joint Retirement and Change of Command Ceremony noong Biyernes sa Tejereos Hall sa Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City,

“As the Commander, AFPETDC and concurrent AFP spokesman, he (Arevalo) continued to perform these crucial and demanding positions. He has exemplified the highest standards of professionalism and excellence in the service and the AFP will always be grateful to you,” dagdag ni Gloria.

Sa ngayon ay wala pang inaanunsyong bagong tagapagsalita ang AFP.

Nagsilbi rin si Arevalo bilang assistant deputy chief of staff ng Civil Military Operations, J7; acting commander at deputy commander ng Civil Relations Service AFP; hepe ng Public Affairs Office AFP; at commander ng Philippine Navy Civil Military Operations Group, at iba pang mga posisyon.
