Kahit, may banta ng COVID-19 o wala, olympics, tuloy sa 2021

SYDNEY (AFP) – Bagama’t nasuspendi ang Tokyo Olympics ngayong taon dahil sa COVID-19, itutuloy ito sa susunod na taon.

Ayon sa pamunuan nito, kahit may Coronavirus pandemic o wala, ikakasa ang Olympics sa 2021.

“Games that conquered Covid,” saad ni IOC vice president John Coates patungkol sa olimpiyada.”

“It will take place with or without Covid. The Games will start on July 23 next year,” saad Coates, na siyang head ng International Olympic Committee’s Coordination Commission for the Tokyo Games.

“The Games were going to be, their theme, the Reconstruction Games after the devastation of the tsunami,” aniya.
