No. 9165.

Samples were taken and sent to PDEA for chemical analysis, confirming the substances as tetrahydrocannabinol and marijuana (Kush), classified as a dangerous drug under R.A. No. 9165, as amended.

Samanatala, naglabas agad ng warrant to seize and detain the shipment ang BOC dahil sa paglabag sa Sections 118(g), 119(d), and 1113 paragraphs (f), (i), and (l) (3 and 4) of R.A. No. 10863, o mas kilala bilang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA), in relation to R.A. No. 9165.

“The BOC pledges to prevent smuggling and protect the country’s borders and our citizens’ well-being from the threats posed by illegal substances attempting to infiltrate our communities,” pagtitiyak ni Commissioner Rubio.
