PILIPINAS NAGHAHANDA NA PARA MAG-HOST SA FIVB 2025 MEN’S WORLD

NAGSAGAWA ng pagpupulong ang inter-agency technical working group (TWG) sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Maynila bilang paghahanda para sa FIVB (international volleyball federation) 2025.

Ito ang unang pagkakataon na ang bansa ay magiging host ng prestihiyosong tournament na ito.

“Our first inter-agency meeting for the FIVB 2025 Men’s World Championship drew a lot of interest from various government and non-government agencies,” ayon kay Ramon Suzara, head ng Asian Volleyball Confederation at Philippine National Volleyball Federation.

Gaganapin ang nasabing tournament mula sa Sept. 12 hanggang 28 sa susunod na taon sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City at Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Quezon City.  

 “We will all be part of this historic hosting. This is just our first inter-agency meeting and we’re looking forward to another collaboration [in the second week of December],” saad ni Suzara. “Your meaningful insights are very important in this hosting.”

Malugod namang tinanggap ni Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Richard Bachmann ang higit sa 40 representatives na kumakatawan sa 20 ahensiya at organisasyon.

“As we gather here, we are tasked to establish our comprehensive strategies and ensure all our relevant assignments are well-coordinated to achieve the smooth and outstanding staging of this world championship,” ani Bachmann. “We have already proven our capacity to stage this kind of international tournament after our successful hosting of multiple continental and global events this year,” dagdag niya.

Ang anak ng pangulo na si William Vincent Araneta-Marcos at Senator Alan Peter Cayetan ang co-chair ng LOC, habang sina Senator Pia Cayetano, Bachmann, Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham Tolentino at MVP Group of Companies head Manuel V. Pangilinan ang mga member.

Dumalo sa meeting ang mga representative ng POC, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Transportation, Department of Education, Bureau of Customs, Department of Public Works and Highways, Bureau of Immigrations, Department of Foreign Affairs, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Philippine National Police, Department of Finance, Department of Budget and Management, Office of Senator Alan Cayetano, Philippine National Anti-Doping Organization, Department of Tourism, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Metro Manila Development Authority, at Philippine Postal Corporation
