UMALMA ang Palasyo sa kampanya ng International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines na i-boycott ng mga mamumuhunan ang Pilipinas dahil umano sa talamak na paglabag sa karapatang pantao.
“The agenda pursued by this group calling itself the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines is simply to name and shame the Philippines before the international community,” sabi ni Acting Presidential Spokesperson Martin Andanar.
Ito’y matapos sabihin ng grupo na makikipag-ugnayan ang mga miyembro nito sa Australia, Canada, US, UK at European Union para patawan ng Magnitsky sanctions ang mga opisyal ng Pilipinas.
“It is baffling how it has come up with allegations of human rights violations of the Philippine government without validating the same with the appropriate authorities,” dagdag ni Andanar.
