Mahigit 5.3 milyong pasahero ang nakinabang sa programang libreng sakay sa bus sa Quezon City simula nang ilunsad ito noong Disyembre 2021, ayon sa city government.
Layunin ng Q City Bus mapagaan ang pampublikong transportasyon sa gitna ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, at kasalukuyang bumibiyahe sa walong ruta sa lungsod.
“This program was launched to address the need for a reliable, efficient and safe means of transportation during the pandemic especially during the times when public transportation is unavailable or limited,” pahayag ni Mayor Joy Belmonte.
“The program enables our QCitizens to save a lot on transportation expenses,” dagdag pa niya.
Sa sunod-sunod na pagtaas ng presyo ng langis kamakailan, sinabi ni Belmonye na makatutulong ang Q City Bus na mabawasan ang gastos ng mga motorista.
“We hope that this program will help address the lack of public transportation and will provide commuters with a fast and safe way to reach their destinations,” aniya.
