World-class sports complex sa Mindanao, itatayo sa Davao

Sa wakas, may ipagmamalaki na ang mga sports enthusiasts sa Mindanao. Ito’y dahil sa gagawing ng world-class sports facility doon.

Ayon sa provincial government ng Davao Oriental, ang sports facility ay itatayo sa 12-hectare area. Ito ay sa Barangay Don Martin Marundan, Mati City.

Ang total area ng sports complex ay nasa 119, 940 square meters. Ang construction ng Davao Oriental Provincial Sports Complex ay pinasinayaan noong Enero 2020.

Sa ngayon ay nasa first phase na ito ng construction.

 “Currently, the construction is in its first phase which includes road network, drainage, site preparation, and fencing.

The project is being hoped to be completed within the next few years,” ani ng provincial government.

Sa sandaling ito’y matapos, inaasahang ilalatag sa sports complex ang 29,000-sq.m football field. Gayundin ang track oval at stadium na may 10,000-seating capacity.

Gagawin din dito ang 8,600-sq.m. athletics field, archery field, ball games area, 8,600-sq. m.Gayundin ang aquatics center, 5,200-sq.m. athletes’ village, sports commission at training gym.

More than just a sports center, the sports facility will also feature a forest park and playground, which complies with the green building design standards,” ani Davao Oriental Governor Nelson Dayanghirang.
