IDINEKLARA ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) bilang dominant majority party para sa 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE), habang ang Nacinalista Party ay ang dominant minority party. Ang LAKAS-CMD ay pinamumunuan ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez bilang President nito.
Sa resolusyon nito, sinabi ng Comelec na: “On the basis of the foregoing considerations, the dominant majority party and the dominant minority party, and the accredited majority political parties for the May 12, 2025 national and local elections (NLE) are: Dominant majority party — Lakas-CMD; Dominant minority party — Nacionalista Party.”
Sinabi ni Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia na bibigyan ng hard copies ng election returns (ERs) ang dominant majority party at dominant minority party.
Bukod pa riyan, magkakaroon din sila ng sariling server na maaari nilang gamitin para sa mabilis na pagbibilang ng mga boto at pag-verify ng mga resulta ng halalan.
Ayon kay Garcia, mayroong 11 political parties na nag-apply para sa akreditasyon bilang dominant majority party at dominant minority party para sa halalan sa Mayo 12.
“The political groups were ranked according to their history, background, number of incumbent elective officials and organized chapters in various cities, municipalties and provinces,” aniya.
Samantala, ang iba pang accredited political parties ay ang Akbayan Citizens Action Party, Liberal Party of the Philippines, Nationalist People’s Coalition, National Unity Party, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan, Partido Demokratikong Reporma, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas at United Nationalist Alliance.
Napag-alaman din na 15 lokal na partido rin ang nag-file ng kanilang petition for accreditation bilang isa sa dalawang pangunahing lokal na partido sa kani-kanilang mga rehiyon, lungsod, o lalawigan.
Kabilang dito ang Arangkada San Joseno Inc. (ARANGKADA) for San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; Asenso Manileño Movement (ASENSO MANILEÑO) for Manila; Bileg Party (BILEG), Ilocos Sur; Filipino Rights Protection Advocates of Manila Movement (FRONTLINERS ANG BIDA), National Capital Region (NCR); Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HTL), Davao City; Kabalikat ng Bayan sa Kaunlaran (KABAKA), NCR; Kusog Bikolandia (KB), Region V.
