SMC INILIBRE TOLL FEES NG 84K SASAKYAN NA APEKTADO NG ETC NETWORK DISRUPTION

Humingi ng paumanhin ang SMC Infrastracture sa lahat ng motorista na naapektuhan ng matinding trapik sa kahabaan ng South Luzon Expressway (SLEX, Skyway, NAIAx at STAR Tollway ngayong umaga.

Dahil umano ito sa pansamantalang network outage ng kanilang electronic toll collection system.

Ayon sa kalatas ng SMC Infrastructure, hinahanap na ng kanilang IT teams ang source ng naputol na fiber optic network.

“We are still determining the root cause of the damage, but there are indications that a major vehicular accident may have contributed to the situation,” ayon sa SMC Infrastructure.

Para mabawasan ang matinding trapik, nag-deploy ang kompanya ng karagdagang manpower upang asistehan ang mga motorista.

Bunsod dito, ini-waive o inilibre na ang toll fee sa mga 84,000 na sasakyan na naapektuhan ng ETC network disruption.

“We also opened affected toll plazas and waived toll fees. All in all, this covers around 84,000 vehicles that passed through the expressways from 6am to 2pm, Thursday, November 17,” ayon sa SMC Infrastructure.

“This includes motorists whose ETC accounts were deducted upon entry; they will receive electronic refunds in their Autosweep accounts. While the system was restored around 9 am, we decided to keep barriers at toll plazas up, to enable all affected motorists to pass through for free,” dagdag nito.
