Russell Westbrook, rumekta sa Wizards kapalit ni John Wall

Pumayag ang Houston Rockets na irekta si Russell Westbrook sa Washington Wizards. Magiging kapalit ng disgruntled point guard kay John Wall.

Mapapasa-Wizards din ang first round draft pick. Dahil dito, muling makakasama ni Westbrook ang dating coach sa Oklahma City Thunder na si Scott Brooks.

Naglaro lamang ng isang season sa Houston ang 32-anyos na si Westbrook. Gumugol din ito ng 11 taon sa paglalaro sa Thunder.

Nagkasunod-sunod ang problema ng Rockets buhat nang mapatalsik sa playoffs kontra LA Lakers. Nagdesisyon si Mike D’Antoni na umalis sa team. Hiniling naman nina James Harden at Westbrook na mai-trade sila.

“Russell’s accomplishments and honors on the court speak for themselves, but his drive and will to win are what separate him as a truly unique player,” ani Brooks.

“As much as I’m looking forward to reuniting with him, I’m equally sad to say goodbye to John.”
