Masaya ang Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sa pagpayag ng otoridad sa kanilang rekwest. Inaprubahan kasi ng Inter-Agency Task Force na mabigyan ng bakuna ang mga atleta.
At gaya ng hinihiling ng ahensiya, gagawin ng mas maaaga ang vaccination sa mga atleta.
“The entire sports community can now heave a sigh of relief with this approval,” sabi ni POC President Rep. Bambol Tolentino.
“With this good news, our athletes can now look forward to serious training and preparations for two major competitions.”
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque noong Biyernes na dapat payagan ng Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases ang early vaccination ng mga national athletes at coaches.
