MANILA – Inanunsiyo ng Bureau of Immigration na kasama na rin ang 5 pang bansa sa travel restriction simula bukas, Enero 13, ng alas-12:01 ng hapon.
Sa isang pahayag, ibinahagi ni BI Commissioner Jaime Morente na nakatanggap sila ng kautusan mula sa Malacañang na hindi na pinapayagan makapasok ng bansa ang mga dayuhang pasahero na manggagaling mula Pakistan, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Oman, at ang People’s Republic ng China.
“Filipinos will still be allowed entry, subject to a strict 14-day facility-based quarantine, to be implemented by the airport’s one stop shop,” ayon kay Morente.
Sa ngayon ay nasa 33 bansa na ang saklaw ng travel ban na ipinapatupad.
Kasama na rito ang mga biyahero mula United Kingdom, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Australia, Israel, The Netherlands, Hong Kong SAR, Switzerland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Lebanon, Singapore, Sweden, South Korea, South Africa, Canada, Spain, at United States.
Pasok din dito ang Portugal, India, Finland, Norway, Jordan, Brazil, and Austria.
“The travel restriction for aliens arriving from these countries will last until January 15, unless otherwise extended or expanded by Malacanang or the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases,” ayon kay Morente.
