CLARK FREEPORT – Nangako ang bagong appoint na si Clark Development Corporation (CDC) President and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera na aayusin ang iba’t ibang isyu na nakakaapekto sa mga locator at workers sa naturang Freeport.
“I am just ready, always ready to face what I will find. And I’m happy to say that in all government offices that I’ve been to, I have always had a lot of pleasant surprises,” aniya.
Sa isinagawang regular na flag raising ceremony, nagbigay ng makabuluhang mensahe si Devanadera at tiniyak sa mga empleyado na kanyang panunungkulang bilang bagong president at CEO, na siya at ang kanyang management team ay magsisikap na ituloy ang lahat ng paraan upang tulungan ang mga empleyado ng CDC kaugnay sa isyu ng bagong pay scale implementation.
“I want to take the bull by its horn. It may not be solved today, tomorrow, or next week- I am no miracle worker, but with you having an open mind and an open heart, we can address this together,” wika ni Devanadera.
Sinabi rin niya na, “When I come in, I would like to come in with no biases. We all start at zero and we move upwards in reaching out to each other,” upang magbigay ng inspirasyon sa mga empleyado ng kanyang bagong administrasyon.
“I am extending my hand of friendship, my hand as your new mother here, so I am appealing that please extend your hands as well,” pagpapatuloy pa niya.
Nakasuot ng itim na dress na may yellow ribbon design sa balikat si Devanadera upang ipakita ang kanyang buong suporta sa mga empleyado na nakasuot din ng black attire sa nasabing flag ceremony.
“For me, I’m taking it as an expression of what you have in your mind. And I hope you will accept my wearing of black as an expression to reach out to you so that we could solve our problems together,” banggit niya.
Ipinaliwanag din ni Devanadera ang symbolism ng yellow ribbon na bahagi ng kanyang kasuotan.
“I’m just looking at this yellow ribbon to be the sunshine – that if we work together, we are in this together, we will find the sunshine together. So I want to end my message by looking at all of you and wishing that we will look forward to the shiniest sunshine during my incumbency as president and CEO of CDC,” saad niya.
Pormal nang inihalal si Devanadera ng board members sa ginanap na Special Organizational Meeting bilang CDC President and CEO noong Setyembre 9, 2022, alinsunod sa appointment letter (bilang Acting President) na inilabas ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos, Jr. na may petsang September 1, 2022.
Bago ang kanyang appointment bilang CDC President and CEO, kasama sa kanyang malawak na karanasan sa serbisyo publiko ang pagiging 41st Solicitor General ng bansa (2007 hanggang to 2010), at dating Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) mula Nobyembre 2017 hanggang Hulyo 2022.
Bukod pa rito, nagsilbi rin siya bilang Kalihim ng Department of Justice (DOJ); Undersecretary for legal and legislative affairs sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) mula 2003 hanggang 2004; Government Corporate Counsel noong 2004; President ng League of Municipalities of the Philippines taong 1997; at naging Mayor ng kanyang home town sa Sampaloc, Quezon mula 1988 hanggang 1998.
