Inamin ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr, na pinayuhan niya ang kanyang anak na si , House Senior Deputy Majority Leader and Ilocos Norte 1st District Rep. Sandro Marcos, na suportahan ang proseso ng House of Representatives at gampanan ang kanyang tungkulin bilang mambabatas kaugnay sa impeachment proceedings laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.
“Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘the process has already begun. It’s your duty now to support the process. So, do your duty.’ That’s what I told him. You are constitutionally mandated to support that process. You’re a congressman so do your duty. I didn’t know he’d be the first to sign,” ayon sa Pangulo.
Nitong Miyerkules, bumoto ang House of Representatives upang ma-impeach si Duterte, kung saan 215 mambabatas ang nag-endorso ng complaint sa Senado. Bgama’t nag-adjourn ang Senado nang hindi tinalakay ang impeachment.
