Kauna-unahan sa kasaysayan… ARNIE TEVES PINATALSIK NA SA KAMARA

Pinagtibay na ng House of Representatives sa botong 265 pabor, zero hindi pabor at tatlo abstain, ang pagpapatalsik kay 3rd District Rep. Arnolfo Teves bilang house member.

Inirekumenda ng House Committee on Ethics and Priveledges sa pangunguna ni COOP NATTCO Party List Rep. Felimon ESpares ang pagsibak kay Teves.

Sinabi ni Espares na pagkatapos ng masusing pag-uusap at pagsunod sa maraming pagpupulong, habang sinusunod ang pagiging patas at angkop na proseso, nagkakaisang inirekomenda ng Committee on Ethics and Privileges na ang parusa ng pagpapatalsik mula sa Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan ay ipataw kay Rep. Arnolfo “Arnie” A. Teves Jr. for disorderly behavior and for violation of the Code of Conduct of the House of Representatives.

Nilinaw naman ni Espares na hindi naging basehan ang designation bilang terorista ng ATC kay Teves ang pagpapatalsik sa mambabatas.

“When a Member of the House of Representatives is designated as a terrorist, it poses a significant threat to the integrity and dignity of the institution. It is a serious and unprecedented matter,” paliwanag ni Espares.
