Nag-aagam-agam si G-League Ignite coach Brian Shaw kung kailan sasalang sa team si Kai Sotto.
Kapag kasi naglaro si Sotto sa Gilas Pilipinas 8.0, maapektuhan ang laro nito sa Ignite. Nakatakda kasing sumali ang 7’3 teen sensation sa third window ng FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers.
Magsisilbing dagdag reinforcement si Kai sa national team.
Kinumpirma ni Shaw na no show si Sotto sa unang bahagi ng G-League season. Na ito ay idaraos sa Walt Disney World complex.
Magsisimula ang G-League bubble sa Feb. 11 Manila time. Sasalang ang Ignite sa 15 regular games sa loob ng 24 araw.
“That was the decision Kai and his team thought was important so we supported him on being part of that.
“And unfortunately, a lot of it is during the time where we’re gonna be in the bubble. And so we just wish him the best,” wika ni Shaw.
“We worked with him up until the point that he left and hopefully he’s gonna go there, perform well and then depending on the timing of everything, especially because he’s traveling internationally,” aniya.
