DINOMINA ng Marikina Posiedon Swimming Club ni coach Mar Casas upang ikampay ang overall team championship sa Manila Swim Fest nitong weekend sa Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) swimming pool na nasa Plaza Dilao, Paco, Manila.
Kinopo ng Marikina tankers ang mga event halos sa Class A, B, at C sa pagtala ng suma- total na 800.50 points upang hablutin ang korona habang si Casas ay ginawaran bilang outstanding coach sa isana araw ng kaganapang inorganisa ng Swimming League Philippines (SLP) na bahagi ng pre-qualifying meet para sa pagpili ng isasabak para sa torneo sa Singapore at Thailand.
Si International coach Bryan Estipono, na pinamunuan ang SLP-Killerwhale squad sa 1 silver at apat na bronze medal sa idinaos kamakailang Hamilton Swim Championship sa Dubai, ay giniyahan ang Sharpeedo Swim Team para sa 1st runner-up team honor na may 635 points, habang ang Solid Coaches Swim Team ay naging second-runner up (534) kasunod ang Elite Swim Team ni Coach Paul Pablo bilang second-runner up (481), Ang Angeles City Swim Team ni Coach Bernardino Alindogan (249), Binangonan Athlete Swim Team ni Coach Arthur Luzon (225.50) at Dinalupihan Swimming Team ni Coach Romulo Sanchez (222).
“We’re really surprised with the huge number of participants (48 teams). Patunay ito na talagang ready na ang ating mga swimmers na magbalik aksyon after almost three years of isolation dahil sa pandemic. This is good for swimming and SLP under the guidance of our founder and chairman Joan Mojdeh is always a partner in grassroots sports development,” wika ni SLP president Fred Ancheta.
