Halaga ng sports sa panahon ng pandemic, sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte sa National Sports Summit

Pormal nang binuksan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang 2021 National Sports Summit. Sa isang mensahe sa recorded video, sinabi ng Pangulo ang kahalagahan ng sports sa panahon ng pandemic.

 “This online sports lecture-forum is indeed timely as we turn to sports as a means.”

“To move forward and engendered national unity especially as we deal with a COVID-19 pandemic,” Duterte said.

“Conducting this initiative through this online platform proves that sports can still be a tool in promoting excellence and instilling pride in the hearts of our people even as we prepare for the new normal.”

Hinikayat din ni Pangulong Duterte ang halos 600 participants na ipagpatuloy ang kanilang adhikain upang palakasin ang mga kabataan.

Kaugnay dito, sinabi naman ni Senador Bong Go na tumutulong ang Philippine Sports Commission sa linangin ang sports sa grassroots level.
