Kaugnay sa celebration ng International Women’s Month, naging guests ang female boxing medalists. Ito ay sa first episode ng “Rise Up! Shape Up. Ang series ay ikinasa ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).
Naging special guests sa online show sina Irish Magno at Aira Villegas. Gayundin sina Josie Gabuco at Riza Pasuit. Pinag-usapan sa episode kung papaano sila naging successful sa predominantly sport gaya ng boxing.
Ito rin ang boses nila at adbokasiya para sa pagpapatuloy ng gender equality.Tinalakay din ng mga lady pugs kung papaano sila tinulungan ng kanilang mga ina para maabot ang kanilang pangarap.
“We’ve seen many athletes who dedicate their success to their parents, particularly their mothers.”
“It is very important to recognize that while an athlete’s achievement is his or her own, a part of it is attributable to the support given to him or her by the family,” ani PSC’s Women in Sports oversight commissioner Celia Kiram.
