Pinangunahan ni Senator Bato Dela Rosa, chairman ng Senate special committee ng Marawi City rehabilitation, ang hybrid hearing ngayong Martes upang pag-usapan ang iba’t ibang resolusyon sa status ng Marawi rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
Ayon sa senador, bukod sa Marawi reconstruction na isinasagawa ng gobyerno, nais din ng komite na malaman ang kondisyon at sitwasyon ng mga tao rito, lalo na ang internally displaced persons (IDPs).
“As they say, although we are in the same storm, definitely we are not in the same boat,” saad ni Dela Rosa.
“Our brothers and sisters in Marawi City have survived a war. Now, I am hopeful that we will survive this pandemic together,” dagdag niya.
“More crucial than ever, we must now expedite the government’s program of rebuilding the war-torn city,” pagtatapos niya.
