Agosto 24, idineklarang ‘Kobe Bryant Day’ sa Orange County sa California

Opisyal nang magiging ‘Kobe Bryant Day’ ang Agosto 24 kada taon. Ito ay bilang pag-alala sa yumaong basketball icon ng Los Angeles Lakers.

Ang nasabing sirkular ay inaprubahan ng Board of Supervisors ng Orange County sa California.

Sinabi ni Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Michelle Steel, naging inspirasyon ang tinaguriang ‘Black Mamba’ sa mga kabataan.

“A treasured member of our Orange County community, Kobe Bryant was the basketball legend that inspired so many young men and women to pursue their dreams and never give up,” ani Steel.

“The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”

Malaki rin aniya ang naging impluwensiya nito sa mga kabataan na maglaro ng basketball. Markado si Bryant sa pagsusuot ng numero 8 at 24 sa kanyang jersey.
