Tiangco na mas maraming Navoteño ang magkakaroon na ngayon ng access sa pinahusay at pinalawak na serbisyong medikal matapos sabay na makuha ng Navotas City Hospital ang Level 2 accreditation nito mula sa Department of Health at ang Silver Trailblazer Award mula sa Institute for Solidarity in Asia at ng National Competitiveness Council. MAS maraming Navoteño na ngayon ang magkakaroon ng access sa pinahusay at pinalawak na serbisyong medikal matapos makuha ng Navotas City Hospital (NCH) ang Level 2 accreditation nito mula sa Department of Health (DOH).
“Navotas City Hospital has undergone a series of expansions and improvements. But the need for larger and upgraded facilities remains, because more people—not only Navoteños—continue to seek our brand of service and compassion,” sabi ni Mayor John Rey Tiangco.
Dahil sa Level 2 accreditation, ang kapasidad ng ospital ay magiging 70 ward beds at pitong Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds na ito.
Ang ICU ay nahati sa tatlong unit: ang Medical ICU na may tatlong kama; Pediatric at Neonatal ICU na may tatlo ring kama; at Obstetric Heart Rate unit na may isang kama.
Sinabi ng mga opisyal ng ospital na maaaring tumaas pa ang kapasidad habang mas maraming healthcare workers at support personnel ang kinukuha.
Pinalawak ng NCH ang mga espesyal na serbisyo nito upang maisama ang dermatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology, at pulmonology. Nag-aalok din ito ng mga serbisyo sa nephrology, endocrinology, neurology, at cardiology, na pandagdag sa mga pangunahing outpatient services nito sa internal medicine, pediatrics, ophthalmology, obstetrics and gynecology, family medicine, surgery, at hemodialysis.
Ang mga kakayahan nito sa diagnostic ay pinalakas sa pagdaragdag ng computerized tomography (CT) scanner sa ilalim ng Radiology Department at mga automated laboratory at pathology services na sumasaklaw sa hematology, microbiology, blood chemistry, immunology, at serology. (JUVY LUCERO)
