Inaprubahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) na isailalim ang National Capital Region (NCR) sa General Community Quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions mula kahapon, July 23, 2021 hanggang July 31, 2021.
Sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, maliban sa NCR, isinailalim din sa GCQ with heightened restrictions ang mga lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte at Ilocos Sur na dati ng nasa Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
Mula naman sa Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ), ang Davao de Oro at Davao del Norte ay inilagay na sa GCQ with heightened restrictions simula July 23, 2021 hanggang July 31, 2021.
“As these areas will be placed under GCQ with heightened restrictions, children five years old and above will not be allowed to go to outdoor areas, as provided for under IATF Resolution No. 125 (s.2021),” ani Sec. Roque.
