NAKAPAGTALA ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Taguig City ng 100 percent recovery rate sa coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa dalawang lugar sa siyudad na nasa ilalim ng localized lockdown.
Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Mayor Lino Cayetano na 506 ang nakarekober na kabilang sa kaso ng may COVID-19 sa Barangay Fort Bonifacio at Lower Bicutan.
This 100 percent recovery rate among the cases originating in the BGC (Bonifacio Global City) construction site (394 cases and recoveries) in Barangay Fort Bonifacio and Dalampasigan Area in Purok 5 and Mauling Creek, I. Reyes and Barangay Street in Purok 6 (112 cases and recoveries) in Barangay Lower Bicutan proves that the implementation of a localized quarantine is effective in isolating the virus without compromising economic recovery. We will continue to refine and perfect this to effectively contain the virus in the city,” ani ni Cayetano.
Habang wala namang naitalang namatay sa virus sa mga lugar na ito. Aniya na epektibo ang localized quarantine hangga’t hindi idinedeklara ng City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CEDSU) nawawala ang nakamamatay na sakit sa mga nabanggit na lugar.
Pinasalamatan din ng naturang alkalde ang mamamayan at mga stakeholder lalo na sa Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC), Bonifacio Estate Services Corporation (BESC), lokal na pulisya, mga lider ng barangay ng Fort Bonifactio at Lower Bicutan, health workers at frontliner para sa kanilang huwarang pagganap at pakikipagkooperasyon.
“We were in close coordination with the national government and the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) who provided support via prioritization at the national testing and quarantine facilities,” saad ni Cayetano.
