NAGHAIN ng impeachment complaint ang koalisyon ng iba’t ibang organisasyon laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte sa mababang kapulungan ng Kongreso.
Kabilang sa mga nagkaso na grupo ay ang Magdalo, Akbayan, Mamamayang Liberal, mga miyembro ng Simbahang Katoliko, at student leaders dahil sa katiwalian, betrayal of public trust, at iba pang “high crimes.”
“Vice President Duterte deserves to be impeached for her abuse of power and plunder of the nation’s coffers. The Filipino people deserve a vice president who is ethical, accountable, and committed to public service — not one who weaponises authority for personal gain,” ayon kay Akbayan Representative Perci Cendaña, na siyang nag-endorse ng complaint.
Para kay dating Sen. Leila de Lima, ito ang pinaka-angkop na gawin, matapos lumitaw ang mga isyu laban sa pangalawang pangulo.
“This impeachment is not just a legal battle but a moral crusade to restore dignity and decency to public service,” ayon naman kay De Lima.
Patuloy na iniimbestigahan ng Kamara si Duterte dahil sa umano’y maling paggamit ng public funds bilang pinuno ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at bilang dating secretary ng Department of Education.
