VP Sara no-show sa budget hearing… ‘BOYKOT ITO, MADAM CHAIR! – CASTRO

KINASTIGO nina ACT Teachers Party-list Rep. France Castro at Gabriela Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas ang hindi pagsipot ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa pagpapatuloy ng budget hearing ng Office of the Vice President (OVP).

Ayon kay House Committee on Appropriations senior Vice chairperson at Marikina Rep. Stella Luz Quimbo, ang nag-preside sa briefing, walang opisyal mula sa Office of the Vice President ang dumalo upang idepensa ang budget nito.

Sa halip sumulat si Duterte sa Kamara de Representantes upang sabihin na naisumite na nito ang mga dokumento kaugnay ng hinihinging budget sa komite.

“So ang problema dito no, talagang bratinella, bratinella to the max, no, na ayaw na ngang matanong, umiiwas sa mga tanong,,” sabi ni Castro. “Pasensya na po ang taumbayan, binoycott tayo ng Vice President.”

“Wala pa ko natatandaan no ahensya ng gobyerno o executive branch na binoycott ang Kongreso dito sa budget hearing and deliberation…Ano to no, betrayal of her oath of office,” dagdag pa ni Castro.

Ayon kay Brosas ang pagkabigo ni Duterte na dumalo sa deliberasyon ay isang insulto sa mga mamamayang Pilipino at sa mga kinatawan ng Kongreso.

“She may not like our questions last hearing, Madam Chair. She may not like being questioned about the OVP expenses, she may not like sitting with us here in the House. But Madam Chair, she is accountable to the people and she has the sworn duty to the Constitution, being the head of the agency, to be here,” sabi ni Brosas.

Tinangka ni SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta na pahintuin ang deliberasyon at iginiit ang tradisyon ng agarang pagpasa ng budget ng OVP.

Tinutulan ito ng Makabayan bloc kaya kinailangang magbotohan.

Ayon kay Quimbo tatlo lamang ang pumabor sa mosyon ni Marcoleta na itigil na ang deliberasyon at 45 ang tumutol dito.
