UKRAINE, NANGUNA SA MEDAL TALLY NG 2022 WINTER PARALYMPICS

Sorpresang nanguna ang Ukraine sa medal tally ng 2022 Winter Paralympic Games sa Beijing. Ito’y sa kabila ng nagaganap na invasion ng Russia. Naging motibasyon ito ng Ukraine Paralympic team at ng ipinadlang 20 atleta sa torneo.

Nakasungkit ang bansa ng 3 gold medal sa biathlon at 7th overall sa unang araw ng torneo. Ang host country na China ay mayroong 2 gold medal at 8th overall sa medal tally.
Wagi si Vitalii Lukianenko ng gold sa men’s sprint vision-impared event.

“I’m really proud that we have the Ukrainian podiums today, because it’s really important for our country. Also, I want to say hello to all my relatives who are in Kharkiv now. Please be strong,” anita sa Reuters.

“I want to dedicate this medal to the guys who protect our cities. Not only on the borders of the country, but on the borders of the city they protect us, and I dedicate this medal to them.”
