UFC FIGHTER, SUSPENDIDO DAHIL SA PAGGAMIT NG BANNED SUBTANCES

Sinuspende ng U.S. Anti-Doping Agency si UFC flyweight competitor Rachael Ostovich pagkatapos na bumagsak ito sa drug test. Natuklasang gumagamit ang MMA female fighter ng ipinagbabawal na subtances.

Ayon sa mga opisyales ng USADA, nagpositibo si Ostovich sa ostarine at GW1516 nang sumalang sa drug test noong Enero 3, 2019, kung saan ang dalawang substance ay ipinagbabawal na gamitin ng mga atleta na sumasabak sa UFC. Hindi na lumalaban sa octagon si Ostovich sapol noong Enero 2019 buhat nang matalo ito via submission kay Paige VanZant.

Pinatawan ng pagkakasuspensido ng isang taon si Ostovich; gayunman, magiging 8 buwan na lang ang pataw na suspensiyon dahil sa provisional suspension na nauna nang ipinataw sa kanya noong 2019 dahil sa atypical finding na sinisiyasat ng USADA.

“Although ostarine and GW1516 were not listed on the supplement label, the analysis revealed that the product contained ostarine and GW1516, the substances for which Ostovich tested positive,” pahayag ng USADA officials.

 “The product label listed another prohibited substance, but Ostovich did not realize at the time that it was prohibited. Consistent with other cases with similar circumstances, USADA determined that a small reduction from the default two-year period of ineligibility was justified.”

Dagdag pa ng USADA, ipapataw rin kay Ostovich ang karagdagang bawas sentensiya sa suspensiyon dahil sa kanyang Full and Complete Cooperation. Sa ilalim ngrevised UFC (Anti-Doping Program) noong November 25, 2019.Ang Full and Complete Cooperation reduction ay ilalapat kapag ang isang atleta ay hindi intensiyon na paigitngin ang kanilang perpormans at naglatag ng “full, prompt, and truthful responses and information to all reasonable inquiries and requests for information.” Samakatuwid, hindi alam ng female fighter noon na ipinagbabawal pala ang ginagamit niyang subtances— at nabatid niya lang na bawal ito noong siya ay lumaban sa lona.
