SENIOR NCRPO COPS PUMASA SA SURPRISE DRUG TEST

Inihayag ng National Capital Region Police Office nitong Linggo na 72 sa mga heneral at koronel nito ang pumasa sa sorpresang drug test.

Sa isang Facebook post, sinabi ng NCRPO na sumailalim ang hepe nito na si Police Major General Jonnel Estomo, kasama ang mga third-level commissioned officers ng police office ay sa isang surprise drug examination sa Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan Taguig City.

“The screening test yielded negative results for all the 72 urine samples taken during the surprise drug test.” saad sa Facebook post. “This was confirmed by a report submitted by the PNP Crime Laboratory Field Office based in Camp Bagong Diwa yesterday to the Regional Director.”

Bukod dito, alinsunod sa kahilingan ni Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos na magsumite ng courtesy resignation ang mga heneral at full colonel sa PNP bilang bahagi ng pagsisikap na alisin sa puwersa ng pulisya ang mga opisyal na sangkot sa illegal drug trade, lumagda si Estomo ng courtesy resignation.

“From the beginning, I am with the PNP leadership in cleansing our ranks of drug protectors and scalawags,” ani Estomo. “As I formerly said that should there be anyone found to be positive of illegal drugs, he is automatically deemed resigned from the service immediately.”

Dagdag pa niya, magpapatuloy ang random testing para maalis ang mga pulis na gumagamit ng droga sa Metro Manila.

Samantala, binigyang-diin ni Estomo na ang mga nagsumite ng courtesy resignation ay hindi gumagamit ng droga.

“This would reinforce the 5-man assessment committee on their evaluation to be carried out. On the other hand, this may serve as a stern warning to all policemen in the region,” anang NCRPO chief.
