POC busy na para sa 1st Winter Olympics Harbin Games – Tolentino

HANDA na ang bansa sa pagpapadala ng pambatong  20-athletes team natin sa ninth edition ng  Winter Games na ihu-host ng  China sa ikatlong pagkakataon mula Pebrero 7 hanggang 14 sa   winter resort ng siyudad ņg Harbin. .

“We’ve already accomplished the dream in the Summer Olympics—three gold medals in consecutive games,” wika ni  Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino kahapon.

  “And that dream we want to also achieve in the Winter Olympics,” optimistiko si Tolentino na ang Team Philippines na sasabak sa Harbin ang makasasagot dito.

“And our athletes are competing in six of the 11 sports on the Harbin program,” ani pa  Tolentino.

Nasa sampung piling-pli na atleta ang isasabak POC sa Harbin na knabibilangan nina — Marc Angelo Pfister, Enrico Gabriel Pfister, Christian Patrick Haller, Alan Beat Frei, Jessica Pfister, Benjo Delarmente, Kathleen Dubberstein, Leilani Dubberstein, Sheila Mariano at Anne Marie Bonache.

Ang iba pang  miyembro ng  Team Philippines sa timon ni Chef de mission Richard Lim ay sina Paolo Borromeo, Aleksandr Korovin, Cathryn Limketkai, Isabella Marie Gamez and Sofia Lexi Jacqueline Frank in figure skating; Francis Ceccarelli and Talullah Proulx in Alpine skiing; Laetaz Amihan Rabe in freestyle skiing; Peter Joseph Groseclose in short track speed skating and Adrian Tongco in snowboarding

“The Winter Olympics are as extremely tough as the Summer Olympics, but we have proven that it could be done,” diin ni  Tolentino. (DANNY SIMON)
