PNVF Challenge Cup Rizal Coliseum hahataw sa Nobyembre 6

HATAW ang Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) sa pag-arangkada ng  Challenge Cup na lalahukan ng eksplosibong 37 koponan—20 men at 17 women—na raratsada sa   Lunes (Nobyembre 6) sa  Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

“This is the biggest local volleyball tournament that will help highlight the season-long activities of the federation,” wika ni  Ramon “Tats” Suzara, pangulo ng  PNVF. “And with such a big turnout, we’ll be having dozens of matches for almost three weeks of the competition.”

   Titikada ang  Challenge Cup  mula Nob. 6 hanggang 9 at  13 to 19 habang ang  quarterfinals itnakda  sa  Nob. 20  (men)at 21  (women), semifinals sa Nob. 22 at finals sa November 23.

Orihinal na laan para sa tanging local government unit (LGU)-based, ang  Challenge Cup, ani Suzara ay nakaanyaya ng school teams at clubs sa buong kapuluan..

“This shows how active volleyball is in the developmental, LGU and school level,” ani pa Suzara. “Volleyball could now rank as the No. 2 team sport in the country after basketball.”

Kumpirmado sa paglahok sa  men’s division ang mga sumusunod;Plaridel (Quezon), Orion (Bataan), University of Batangas, University of Santo Tomas, Rizal Technological University (RTU)-Basilan , Savouge, Cignal, Davao City, Iloilo D’Navigators, VNS, Volida, Philippine Navy at Tacloban City at mga school teams na Arellano University, University of the East, Jose Rizal University (JRU), Santa Rosa City, National University, Emilio Aguinaldo College and Marikina City.

Davao City, University of Batangas, Arellano University, Volida, Tacloban City, JRU and RTU-Basilan are    Hahataw sa women’s division ang  Parañaque City, Philippine Air Force at Tagaytay City.

Collegiate squads mula De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, San Beda University, University of the Philippines (UP), UP Volleyball Club, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas and Colegio de San Juan de Letran ang kukumpleto sa women’s category.

Susundan agad ang Challenge Cup ng  season-ending Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge na tatampukan ng pangunahing  beach volleyball teams sa mundo na nakatakda sa huling bahagi ng kasalukuyang  buwan sa  Santa Rosa, Laguna.
