ORLANDO (AFP) – Kaugnay sa NBA finals, hindi nakikita ni Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler na underdog sila kontra Lakers.
Sino aniya ang makapagsasabi ngayon na ang rank outsiders para sa title ay nasa finals na? Pagkakataon aniya ito na dapat samantalahin.
Ang Miami na fifth seeded sa playoffs ay ika-3 lowest seed na nakatuntong sa NBA finals sapol pa noong 1984.
Nawalis nila ang Indiana Pacers sa first round (4-0). Kinatay naman nila ang Milwaukee Bucks sa semis (4-1) at tinusta ang Boston Celtics (4-2) sa East finals.
“Not going to say that we’re any better than anybody else, but I just don’t think that we’re underdogs. I don’t,” ani Butler.
“So what that nobody picked us to be here? That’s okay. Pretty sure nobody is picking up to win, either.”
“But we understand that. We embrace that, because at the end of the day we truly don’t care. We’re just going to go out here and compete, play together like we always have, and I’m going to see where we end up.”
“But at the end of the day we’re going to do this our way, the Miami Heat way, and that way has worked for us all year long.”
Gayunman, inamin ni Butler na kabado rin sila sa Lakers dahil sa ang Heat ay binubuo ng inexperienced squad. Maliban kay Andre Igoudala na 5 beses nang sumapa sa finals.
