ITINURNOVER ng Bureau of Customs – Port of Clark ang iba’t ibang nasamsam na mga produkto na gawa sa marijuana na may halagang P120,185.44 sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region III para wasakin.
Nadiskubre ng mga awtoridad ang mga derivative sa 10 kargamento, kabilang ang isang pack ng Cannabidiol (CBD) gummies, isang bote ng Beebe Terpene tincture strawberry diesel, 11 pirasyo ng vape juice, siyam na piraso ng vape cartridge, 23 piraso ng Dabwoods vape pen, hemp gummies, tatlong 30ml bottles ng Terp Science labs na may lamang marijuana, at 470 tableta na naglalaman ng codeine at acetaminophen, kung saan lahat ng ito ay kinokonsidera bilang dangerous drugs sa ilalim ng Republic Act (R.A.) No. 9165.
Nasabat ang mga illegal na droga sa magkakahiwalay na araw mula Disymbre 2022 hanggang Enero 2023 sa paglabag sa Sections 118 (g), 119 (d), and 1113 (f) of R.A. No. 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) na may kaugnayan sa to R.A. No. 9165 o ang Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“The Port of Clark has been very consistent in its anti-smuggling efforts, and as an implementing agency, we are tasked to secure our borders against these dangerous drugs. That is why our personnel are very vigilant and will not let these marijuana by-products reach the consumers,” saad ni Collector John Simon.
“We would like to reiterate that these products with cannabis or marijuana content are dangerous drugs and need further compliance with regulatory agencies such as PDEA and FDA to ensure safety use,” wika naman ni Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio.
