NANAWAGAN ang anak ni dating President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) na ikonsidera ang pagpapaliban sa 2022 presidential elections dahil sa patuloy na pananalasa ng coronavirus pandemic.
Sambit ni Pampanga 2nd District Representative Mikey Arroyo sa isinagawang budget hearing ng Comelec, na takot pa ang mga botante dahil sa posibilidad na malantad sa COVID-19.
“Because I’ve been hearing in my district, the businessmen, the old people, they’re saying maybe they would not just vote because they’re scared to vote during that day. That’s just food for thought, Mr Chair. The Comelec may choose to answer that or not,” ani ni Arroyo.
“But I hope that thought will linger in their minds. I’m not saying you should do it. Just consider it,” dagdag pa ng kongresista ng Pampanga.
Nakatakdang ganapin ang susunod na presidential elections ng Pilipinas sa Mayo 2022, kung saan pipili ang mga Pinoy ng papalit kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
