SABIK nang makapaglaro si La Salle prized catch Kevin Quiambao para sa Gilas Pilipinas na sasabak sa fifth window ng Fiba World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers.
Bagama’t may bakas ng lunglot si rookie Archer sa kanyang pagtulak bilang miyembro ng national team pool sa Middle East dahil maiiwan niya ang kanyang college squad na galing sa masaklap na pakatalo kontra karibal na mortal na Ateneo,kampante naman si Quiambao na magagamit niya ang karanasan niya sa Jordan ( Nob.10)at Saudi Arabia ( Nob.13) sa kanyang pagbabalik sa bansa.
“I will give my best and maximize my experience in Jordan and Saudi. But I’m sad I won’t be with La Salle during the 11- day break,” wika ni Quiambao.
“I’m grateful that the team will take me there, giving me a chance play to the highest level of competitions again”, ayon pa sa toreng si Quiambao.
Sabik na rin ang 6’4” , 21 -anyos na si Quiambao na makasama niya muli sina Cocolife sports ambassador Kiefer Ravena at PBA MVP Scottie Thompson na silang nagsisilbing giya niya tuwing may practice.
“I’m excited to be with Kuya Kiefer and Kuya Scottie. They have been guiding me inside the court. They help me in practice by correcting my mistakes,” ani Quiambao. “I’m really excited to play with PBA players and gain experience.”
