Flexible work arrangements during lockdown

Ang work from home (WFH) ay isa sa pinaka popular na flexible work arrangements o telecommuting work schemes sa ating bansa. Malaking tulong ang WFH ngayong naka-lockdown ang karamihan dahil na rin sa COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

Kilala din bilang flex place o remote working, ang WFH ay applicable lamang sa iilang industriya.

Maraming kumpanya ang mahihirapan na magbalik operation. Yung iba ay magbabawas ng employees pagkatapos ng May 15 lockdown dahil sa strict implementation on policy on social distancing. Marami din ang mawawalan ng trabaho dahil sa pagkalugi ng kumpanya.

Pero ini-encourage ng gobyerno na bago magtanggalan sa trabaho, companies, employers and business-owners are encourage to resort temporarily to flexible work arrangements hanggang maka-recover ang negosyo.

Maari din ang nag-flexible work arrangement to minimize exposure to COVID-19 and to keep employees productive while in lockdown.

Narito ang ilang flexible work arrangement na pwedeng ipakiusap sa iyong employers.

Maaring kausapin ang employer na ikaw ay mag-compressed workweek o pumasok ng 4 na araw hanggang mabuo ang 40 hours a week. Kilala din ito bilang shortened or condensed workweek. Pwede din gawing alternate days o rotation ang pagpasok hanggang makarekober ang negosyo.

Ang job-sharing naman ay paghati-hati ng trabaho sa dalawa o tatlo co-employees ng trabaho. Pwede din mag-flexi holiday o magtrabaho ng holiday upang may dagdag ang sweldo o para mabuo ang working hours in a week.

Flexi-holidays schedule refers to a scheme where the employees agree to avail the holidays at some other days provided there is no diminution of existing benefits.

Ang part-time or on call naman is an option common to financially troubled companies having difficulty keeping up with the salaries of their employees.

Broken time flexible work arrangement refers to one where the work schedule is not continuous but the work-hours within the day or week remain.

Ang time-banking naman ay ang pagtatrabaho hanggang makabuo ng 40 hours for the week. Ang gliding o flexi-time naman ay pagtrabaho ng mga mahahalagang task sa workplace o labas ng workplace at a time determined by employee.
