Itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. si Police Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Peralta bilang OIC ng Philippine National Police (PNP), simula ngayong araw (March 31).
Ito ang kinumpirma ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Secretary Cheloy Velicaria Garafil.
“President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has designated Police Lieutenant General Emmanuel Baloloy Peralta as the officer-in-charge of the Philippine National Police (PNP) after General Benjamin Acorda ends his term today, Sunday.” —Secretary Garafil.
Si General Peralta ang hahalili sa babakantehing pwesto ni PNP Chief Benjamin Acorda, na ang termino ay matatapos ngayong araw.
Base sa memorandum na inilabas ng Office of the Executive Secretary, mananatili bilang OIC si Peralta ng PNP, hangga’t mayroon nang mapili na pupuno sa pwestong ito.
Nakasaad rin sa memo na ang hakbang na ito ay upang masiguro na magpapatuloy at epektibo ang delivery ng serbisyo ng PNP.
