“The issue has severely affected our testing capacity. With limited testing, our COVID cases could shoot up and we could lose all the gains we have achieved so far,” pahayag ni Tiangco.
“PRC testing in Navotas stopped on October 14. A week prior, our average daily testing capacity was 162. It dropped by 51% to 84 this week.,” aniya.
“Last July, we reached 23% positivity rate after we ramped up our testing to 500 a day. This enabled us to give immediate medical attention to the affected residents and prevent further transmission of the virus,” sabi niya.
“Mass testing, coupled with intensive contact tracing, isolation or treatment, is crucial in our fight against COVID-19. We hope for a speedy resolution to the PhilHealth-PRC issue so we could once again be all out in our efforts to end this pandemic,” dagdag ni Tiangco. As of October 20, ang Navotas ay nakapag test na ng 36,358 individuals o 13.6% population nito.
