COVID-19 cases sa PH malapit na sa 170,000

MALAPIT nang sumampa sa 170,000 ang COVID-19 cases sa Pilipinas dahil sa halos 5,000 bagong kaso ng sakit, ayon sa Department of Health (DOH).

Batay sa case bulletin ng ahensya, 84 lang mula sa 105 na laboratoryo ang nag-sumite ng kanilang reports kaya ang total ng COVID-19 cases sa bansa ngayon ay nasa 169,213.

Mula sa nasabing total ay may higit 53,000 pang active cases o mga nagpapagaling, kung saan karamihan ay mild at asymptomatic patients.

“Of the 4,836 reported cases today, 4,223 (87%) occurred within the recent 14 days (August 4 – 17, 2020). The top regions with cases in the recent two weeks were NCR (2,592 or 54%), Region 4A (715 or 15%) and Region 3 (296 or 6%.)”

Samantala ang bilang ng mga gumaling ay nadagdagan pa ng halos 200 kaya ang total ay nasa 112,861. Pito naman ang bagong reported deaths, na may total anng 2,687.

“Of the 7 deaths, all 7 (100%) were reported in August. Deaths were from Region 4A (2 or 29%), Region 9 (1 or 14%), Region 7 (1 or 14%), Region 5 (1 or 14%), Region 3 (1 or 14%), and Region 11 (1 or 14%).”

“There were ninety-seven (97) duplicates that were removed from the total case count. Of these, seventy-six (76) were recovered and one (1) death have been removed. Moreover, there were four (4) cases that were previously reported as recovered but after final validation, they were active cases.”
