KASONG disbarment ang isinampa sa Supreme Court ni dating Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) Secretary-General Melvin Matibag laban kay dating Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
“Alam mo magkaibigan kami ni Atty. Harry Roque and this has nothing to do with politics or personal,” ayon kay Matibag.
“I want to help to judicial system to come out with a jurisprudence for us to be lawyers guided on how to behave in social media,” paliwanag niya.
Ayon kay Matibag, nag-ugat ito sa pag-post ni Roque ng umano’y pekeng videos, kabilang ang “polvoron” video umano ni Pres. Bongbong Marcos.
“It has been established as fake news, fake evidence,” ayon sa abogado sa kaugnay sa viral video.
Tinawag naman ni Roque na “desperate act of attention” ang paghahain ng disbarment case laban sa kaniya.
“Sa lahat ng ito, isa lang ang sigurado: Pinupulbos ako ng quad-committee dahil sa polvoronic video, ayon na rin ito mismo sa mga dating kasamahan ko sa Kamara,” dagdag ni Roque.
