NU AMIGOS NAKAUNGOS VS KBA STARS, 6-5 SA LBP TINGZON CUP

GINULAT ng National University Amigos ang star-studded KBA Stars matapos malusutan ang huli,6-5 via extension inning sa pagpapatuloy ng mga bakbakan sa 1st Liga Baseball Pilipinas( LBP) Tingzon Cup sa Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium sa Maynila.

Sumiklab agad ang KBA sa1st inning sa kanilang pag-iskor ng  3 runs.

“We responded in the top of the 4th inning, beginning with a walk by Julius Soriano, followed by hits from Kenneth Maulit and Gio Gorpido, making the score 3-2”,pahayag ni NU head coach Romar Landicho.

Walang runs na naitala matapos ang scoreless  7th inning kredito kina  NU’s pitcher, MJ Carolino at KB Stars’ Diego Lozano.

Sa sumunod na frame ay umeksena si Amigo Kent Altajeros sa hit niyang  single, nakaw ng base base, at naka- home sa single ni Nico Calanday, upang itabla ang laro sa 3-3.

“The game went into extra innings. In the top of the 10th inning, we scored 3 more runs due to errors by the KB Stars. The KB Stars kept it close in the bottom of the 10th by scoring 2 more runs, bringing the score to 6-5. NU pitcher Amiel De Guzman then secured the win by striking out the last KB Stars batter”, ani pa Landicho na binigyang kredito ang kanyang mga manlalaro na binubuo ng nagkampeon sa nakaraang UAAP season baseball championship.

Ang NU ay umakyat sa 2-1 panalo-talo habang dumausdos sa 1-2 karta ang KBA ni Keiji Katayama na kailangang ipanalo ang mga nalalabing laban upang manatili sa kontensiyon sa prestihiyosong  torneong inorganisa nina  LBP Chairman Amando ‘Whopsy Zamora, President Jose ‘Pepe Muñoz , Executive Director Rodolfo ‘Boy Tingzon at may basbas ng PABA sa pamumuno ni Pres.
