PINAGBIBITIW sa puwesto ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang hepe ng Office for Transportation Security (OTS) matapos ang lunok-pera scandal na kinasasangkutan ng isang security screening personnel sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).
Nagbanta si Romualdez na ididiskaril ang pagpasa sa OTS proposed 2024 budget kung hindi susundin ni Undersecretary Mao Aplasca – OTS administrator – ang kanyang hiling.
“I am advising the OTS chief: submit your courtesy resignation before the House of Representatives tackle the budget of your office,” saad ni Romualdez.
“If you do not submit your resignation, I will be the one to block the approval of the OTS’ budget,” dagdag pa nito.
Ayon kay Romualdez, bigo si Aplasca na mahinto ang sunod-sunod na anomalya na kinasasangkutan ng ilang security personnel sa NAIA.
