Malugod na tinanggap ng Navotas ang bagong skilled workers, kasunod ng graduation ng 79 trainees ng Navotas Vocational Training and Assessment (NAVOTAAS) Institute.
Sa 79, 33 ang nakakumpleto ng Basic Visual Graphics and Design; 16, ang Contact Center Services NC II; siyam, ang Automotive NC I; 13, ang Electrical Installation and Maintenance; at walo, ang Basic Korean Language and Culture.
Kabilang sa mga nagtapos ay si Erwin T. Somook, na nanalo ng gintong parangal para sa Automobile Technology World Skills Competition sa katatapos na TESDA CaMaNaVa Regional Skills Competition 2021.
“We are proud of our graduates for their determination to learn new skills even during pandemic. Being skilled gives them better chances to gain employment or start their own business. Whatever they decide to do, we will support their endeavors,” ani Mayor Toby Tiangco.
Ang mga nagtapos na naghahanap ng trabaho o gustong magtayo ng sariling negosyo ay maaaring humingi ng tulong sa NavotaAs Hanapbuhay Center.
Sa kabilang banda, inihayag ni Cong. John Rey Tiangco na mas maraming pondo mula sa pambansang pamahalaan ang gagamitin para sa mga scholarship ng NAVOTAAS Institute trainees.
“We have secured more funds for the scholarship of our trainees. Now that the quarantine restrictions have been relaxed, we hope that more Navoteños will enroll in our tech-voc courses,” aniya.
Ang NAVOTAAS Institute ay nag-aalok ng Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) at Special Training for Employment Program, na nagbibigay ng mga allowance at tool kit sa mga trainees.
Ang mga Bonafide na residente ng Navotas ay maaaring mag-aral sa institute nang libre habang ang mga hindi Navoteño ay maaaring magpatala at kumuha ng assessment exams nang may bayad, depende sa kursong kanilang kukunin. (JUVY LUCERO)
