MANILA — “Rotten to the core.”
Ganito inilarawan ni Philippine National Police chief PGen Debold Sinas ang apat na pulis ng Olongapo City Police Office na naaresto ng CIDG agents matapos salakayin ang isang clandestine shabu laboratory sa loob ng Subic Bay Freeport.
“These people are ‘rotten to the core’ and do not deserve to be associated with the rest of the 220,000 PNP members who are serving honorably and with dignity,” saad ni Sinas.
“I will do everything within my authority under existing PNP regulations to ensure the successful prosecution of these people,” dagdag niya.
Inutos ng Chief PNP kay Police Major General Marne Marcos, PNP Director for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM) na maghain ng kasong kriminal laban kina Police Lieutenant Reynato Basa Jr; and Police Corporals Gino Dela Cruz, Edesyr Victor Alipio, at Godfrey Duclayan Parentela; kapwa nakatalaga sa City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) ng Olongapo City Police Office.
Inatasan na rin ni Sinas si Central Luzon Police Regional Director, Police Brigadier General Valeriano De Leon, na disarmahan at ilipat ang apat sa ilalim ng mahigpit na kustodiya ng Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon.
Ipinag-utos din niya ang agad na isalang sa drug test ang lahat ng tauhan ng Olongapo City Police Office na uumpisahan sa mga operatiba ng CDEU.
Inatasan ang Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) na simulan ang Summary Dismissal Proceeding laban sa apat.
