NADAKAMA ng pinagsanib na puwersa ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) at National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang 332 dayuhan na nagtatrabaho nang walang kaukulang visas.
Ayon kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, nakatanggap sila ng impormasyon mula sa NBI-International Operations Division tungkol sa isang worksite sa Pag-asa Street, Barangay Dela Cruz, Bamban, Tarlac na may higit 200 undocumented aliens.
“Upon investigation and verification with our agents, we immediately issued a mission order to effect their arrest,” saad ni Morente.
Nang magsagawa ang operasyon, nadakip ng mga ahente ng BI at NBI ang 323 Chinese nationals, 8 Malaysian national at 1 Indonesian na nagtatrabaho gamit ang computers, cellular phones at iba pang electronic devices, nang walang wastong working visa.
“They were reportedly involved in online gambling, internet fraud, and cybercrime operations,” sambit ni Morente.
“They were conducting clandestine operations. Their worksite was in a compound that was under construction, and they didn’t leave the premises as they already have their barracks there,” dagdag pa niya.
Nahaharap sila sa deportation dahil sa paglabag sa Philippine Immigration Act of 1940.
Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng NBI ang 332 na nadakip habang ipinoproseso ang inihaing immigration charges at deportation.
